Goals and Achievements

Offset 100% of our energy usage by purchasing Green-e credits

In 2014 total energy use was offset 88% by Green-e credit. 2017 was 100% covered by Green-e purchases.

Our goal is to reduce total energy consumption per square yard of carpet manufactured by developing environmentally friendly products using environmentally friendly processes. We use our Evergreen Initiative to improve first time yields through the manufacturing processes, reducing off-quality goods and waste.

First time yields have gone from 84% in 2012 to 95% in 2015. We reduced in process re-works that were at 12% in 2012, down to <3>

Masland Contract reduced its total energy cost per square yard 30.4% from 2013 to 2014 and an additional 23.6% from 2014 to 2017.

Improved Safety Incident Rate from 1.17 in 2010 to .32 in 2015.

Evergreen Initiative

Atlas | Masland Contract's Evergreen Initiative is an associate driven - QP3 team based approach that focuses on evaery facet of the manufacturing process. From the inception of new product design, their is an emphasis to reduce the amount of raw materials and energy used in the manufacturing of our products. Once the new product is released to manufacturing the QP3 process utilizes cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality and first time yields throughout the manufacturing process. This Evergreen Initiative has resulted in the reduction of energy consumption, labor costs and material waste.
